I see the lights are turning and I look outside
The stars are burning through this changing time
It could have been anything we want
It’s fine, salvation was just a passing thought
It was just a passing thought
Don’t wait, act now
This amazing offer won’t last long
It’s only a chance to pave the path we’re on
I know there are more exciting things to talk about
And in time we’ll sort it out
And in time we’ll sort it out
And though they say it’s possible
To me, I don’t see how it’s probable
I see the course we’re on spinning farther from what I know
I’ll hold on
Tell me that you won’t let go
Tell me that you won’t let go
And the truth is such a funny thing
With all these people
Keep on telling me
They know what’s best
And what to be frightened of
And all the rest are wrong
They know nothing about us
They know nothing about us
And though they say it’s possible
To me, I don’t see how it’s probable
I see the course we’re on spinning farther from what I know
I’ll hold on
Tell me that you won’t let go
Tell me that you won’t let go
I’m not alright
And though they say it’s possible
To me, I don’t see how it’s probable
I see the course we’re on spinning farther from what I know
I’ll hold on
Tell me that you won’t let go
And though they say it’s possible
To me, I don’t see how it’s probable
I see the course we’re on spinning farther from what I know
I’ll hold on
Tell me that you won’t let go
Tell me that you won’t let go
This could be something beautiful
Combine our love into something wonderful
But times are tough I know
And the pull of what we can’t give up takes hold
I can relate 110%.
Ted: Okay, I’m going to say something out loud that I’ve been doing a pretty good job of not saying out loud lately. What you and Tony have, what I thought for a second you and I had, what I know that Marshall and Lily have, I want that. I do. I keep waiting for it to happen. I’m waiting for it to happen. I guess I’m just tired of waiting. And that is all I’m going to say on that subject.
Stella: I know that you’re tired of waiting. And you might have to wait a little while more but, she’s on her way, Ted. And she’s getting here as fast as she can.
I can feel you all around me
Thickening the air I’m breathing
Holding on to what I’m feeling
Savoring this heart that’s healing
Takes me to my emo place.
I truly think right now is just an amazing time that I don’t think I’ll ever get to experience again in my lifetime. The recession truly is on everyone’s mind and has been used as such a powerful marketing tool. Free food, stimulus deals on everything from cars to 8k back in taxes for first-time home owners, commercials that are recession-sensitive, unemployment benefits being extended to a year, and making the Sex and the City Movie sequel recession friendly? It’s just madness and although getting laid off isn’t so cool, if you just take a step back and realize that THIS is the stuff that history is made of.
Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about how people yearn for simpler times. In the past wheat bread was the cheaper option to make, but once white bread was made, it became popular because it was different and it was a way to fatten people up. Fastforward hundreds of years, and now we fatten up too easily and we make the health-conscious choice to switch back to wheat bread. We make cars, but then they damage the environment so much and make us so fat that better bike lanes and more accessible public transportation is made to give us healthier options. Technology really is such a curse but I feel like it’s not something you realize until you get older. But it makes makes me feel like we’re not really progressing, we’re just always trying to undo certain damages that advancements have afforded us. I wonder what things are going to be like when I’m old.
Show yourself.
Be yourself.
Enjoy yourself.
Play hard, so that you are in debt to yourself,
so that you must then work hard to repay it.
You’re not better than anybody else,
but NOBODY is better than you.
Can’t dance? SAYS WHO?
And when you’ve returned to dry land,
back into your roles,
where the world tells you what to do again,
right before you start doing it,
you’ll smirk and think to yourself
“That was big, big, fun.”
The word “fans” doesn’t cut it.
Thanks for one of the best times of my life.
Love
John
AHHHH…he loves us.
I think the one reason people stay at small companies is because of good bosses, benefits, and belief in what the company is doing.
So, what am I still doing here?
